What you can report
- A message — the Report button next to a message, in every kind of conversation.
- A post on the noticeboard.
- A community tournament — the Report tournament button on its page.
- A quick bracket — also without an account.
- A player or team profile — the Report link in the profile header.
The “Report content” form
You can report illegal content or content that breaks the Terms with the form — no account needed. Give the address of the content (or describe where it is), explain why you are reporting it and confirm that you are acting in good faith. Your name and email are required unless the report concerns child sexual abuse.
What happens next
A person reviews the report. You will learn about the decision in the report thread (a guest gets an email with a link to the thread): what action was taken or why there is no violation. Disagree? Reply in the thread — a person will review the report again. You can also take the matter to court.
Cheating in a match (cheats, swapping a player) is reported differently: during the match by calling the referee, after the match to the Abuse and safety desk on the contact page.
What happens to a reported message
A report takes a frozen copy of the message and of a few messages before and after it — without context, an insult cannot be told apart from a quote. The moderator judges what was written, even if the author has since hidden the message.
Privacy
Moderators do not browse private conversations or team channels. A message from such a conversation reaches a moderator only when a participant reports it. The copy is deleted together with the case.
What cannot be reported
Your own message, a system notice and a result card — a result is disputed, not reported.
Limit
You can send up to 10 reports per hour. Report specific messages — many reports of the same conversation do not speed up the decision.
