Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Why

Even if someone learns your password, they cannot get into your account without your phone. For players 2FA is optional; for referees and staff it is required.

How to turn it on

  1. Install an app that supports TOTP codes: Google Authenticator, Aegis, 1Password, Bitwarden or another.
  2. Go to the 2FA settings and click Start setup.
  3. Scan the QR code or type the key in by hand.
  4. Enter the six-digit code from the app — only this turns the second factor on.

Backup codes

After you turn it on, backup codes appear. We show them once — download them as a file and keep them where you keep your passwords. Each code works once and replaces a code from the app. When you are running low, generate new ones — the old ones stop working immediately.

Lost phone

Log in with your password and a backup code, then set up 2FA on your new phone. Without your phone and without backup codes, write to the Account and player passport desk on the contact page — you can do this without logging in. Before we turn off 2FA, we will ask you to confirm that the account is yours.

The code does not work

The codes depend on your phone's clock. Check that your phone sets the date and time automatically.

Turning it off

You can turn 2FA off in the same place by confirming with your password. Accounts with a referee or staff role cannot turn it off.
