Kinds of conversations
Under Messages there are four kinds of conversations:
- match room — both teams and the referee, one per match;
- team channel — the whole roster and staff;
- tournament channel — announcements from the organizer;
- private messages — a conversation between two people, started with the Send a message button on a player's profile.
Friends
You send a friend invitation from a player's profile. Your friends, invitations and blocked accounts are on the Friends page.
Blocking and muting
- Block — a blocked account cannot message you privately or send you a friend invitation. In the match room and the team channel you still see their messages, because there the conversation is evidence in a dispute.
- Mute — the conversation stays on your list but stops sending notifications.
- Messages from friends only — a switch in your account settings. People who are not on your friends list cannot message you privately.
Read receipts
In private messages you can see when a message has been read. Turning this off works both ways: others will not see it for you, and you will not see it for them. With the Invisible status there are no read receipts either.
Does anyone read my private messages?
No. Moderators have no access to private conversations or team channels. A message only reaches a moderator when a participant in the conversation reports it. More: How to report a message, a post, a tournament or a bracket.
