The bell and email
Every notification goes to the bell in the header and to the Notifications page. Only some of them are also emailed — things you need to act on, such as a team invitation, a referee call or a walkover in your match. Ordinary events during a match stay on the site so your inbox does not fill up.
What you can turn off
On the notifications page you can turn off the Tournaments category — registration opening and the start of tournaments you follow with the Notify me button on the tournament page.
What always arrives
Invitations, referee decisions and replies to your tickets always arrive — these cannot be turned off.
Language
Notifications and emails arrive in the language set in your account settings.
